3 Major Challenges
1. The earlier Khanijo website was based on WordPress, and due to technical problems, the website was infected with bugs which disabled the buying and checkout features. Instead of fixing the old website, which needed a revamp anyway, Khanijo decided to move to Shopify. But since the problem with the WordPress website had already stopped the online business, we had a strict timeline. Every day without a working website meant a day of losing business. 2. The earlier team working on the website prior to Beond jumped directly into Shopify development without any strategy, sitemap, or design, which led to the final website being delayed for months. When we took over the project, we did a full diagnosis of the progress and decided to start the work from scratch. 3. With a great history of over 10 years, Khanijo had over 400 products with multiple types of fabrics, making processes, colors, sizes, and styles that needed to be properly organized into tags and collections for a smooth user experience.
We quickly migrated the domain and set up a landing page on Shopify to catch user information and create a waitlist for when the Khanijo website would go live again. We sat and organized all of the data from the last 10 years of Khanijo to be properly showcased on the website. We created a proper sitemap, designed, and developed the website within 3 weeks to get it live with all the features, brand pages, products, and a design experience suitable for a luxury brand
